Bridge of Hope Conference

At this year’s Bridge of Hope Annual Conference, Dr. Heather Evans will be presenting two workshops:
1. Trauma-Informed Care in Action: Recognizing Signs & Preparing for the Unknown
Trauma doesn’t always look the way we expect. This workshop takes a deeper dive into trauma-informed care, equipping attendees with the skills to recognize hidden signs and symptoms when trauma isn’t obvious. Participants will explore the guiding principles and practical strategies for responding with care, as well as tools and resources to prepare for the unknown.

2. Helping While Healing: Supporting Case Managers in Cultivating Connection  
Case managers are tasked with supporting neighboring relationships, yet this is challenging. Sometimes their own experiences can impact how they engage with others, and sometimes this work just takes a toll. This workshop explores the personal barriers case managers may face in forming and maintaining neighboring relationships, both professionally and personally. Through reflection, discussion, and practical strategies, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the reality of secondary trauma, as well as how their own struggles influence their work. Participants will engage in how to foster genuine, healing connections—even while carrying the weight of care.
